Re: d16z6 cam (hatchedzex)
I've recently been searching around for the same info/setup your going for. Bacially the Zex 59100/59300 are really good and can be used on a stock valvetrain (with stock revlimit). Also I great things about the Exospeed cam, which is a bit cheaper. I know their are alot more options out there, but price is a problem for me as well.

Re: d16z6 cam (Uncle Ben)
SEARCH!!!!!
and just so you know there is no "best" cam
Yes the Zex 59300 is a great cam, but i would rec. the zex springs to go with it.
try to find some dyno graphs for diff cams.
remember that IHE will chage all of the dyno's...along with other mods...

There is only a cam that suits your personal prefference. Some cams are better for NA...some are for Frorced Induction. Like Blackeg said...the ZEX cam works alright in both...but not the best in either catagory. Just find the best cam that will suit your setup and what you plan on doing with your car.

i think the most popular cam on this board (along with d-series forums)is the zex. i havent run any of the other cams but i did have a zex in my hatch, and loved it. if you go with the 59300 you really need to change springs, from what ive heard the stock springs will only last about 3000 miles or so with that larger cam (plus once you get that extra hp you know your not going to keep your foot out of it) if your looking at getting the zex im prolly going to sell mine. i totaled my hatch a few weeks ago, it destroyed the front end and cracked the block but the head didnt get hurt. its a 59300(i paid $250)ive got the zex springs(about 200)the head has been ported,shaved(.040.......about 9.8 comp ratio),and basically reworked and tested. let me know if your interested
