Default z6 to y8 intake mani switch

ok ive looked around on other sites,but im getting really tired........i just cant find no info,no thread,no sites......no nothing on IM...... i just need any help on this

im switching my z6 for a y8 Im...i just need some sort of info...about the swap..plz help im up late ill be checking in and out on this

it works fine. what kind of info ur searchin for such as interchange parts, instruction on how to take it out, etc.

unless you dont know how to plug things in and unbolt things i dont think their is a how to its very easy

youve also looked on H-T to the fullest....even the archived posts???? hard to believe

i just got off work..look in H-T for a lil bit then yahoo...lol i was tired......just want some info on the sensors....since it is a z6 there sient that many,but a y8 i heard had alot justneed to see something that puts a picture in my head how it goes....

i think their is only one sensore that is not being used

hopefully they have some sort of marking on them so i can just write down what it is then hook it up agine with the exception of one

y8 im's are known to crack, stick with the z6

i heard y8 are better compression then z6

i have yet to see one crack and its the plug that goes into the white sensore on the bottom of the mani

for 1 thing you will need iat sensor on the y8 manifold coz i believe they are on the intake tube. and the z6 is on the manifold
you might have to plug a vauum port too

here's how I took of my IAT sensor, i swnt from D15b7 mani to 1999 Y8, but this part is same as going fom z6 to y8:


30k+ mi later and never a problem
also you have to plug the vac line for Cold Start Assist if your mani is 99-00 Y8

what do you do about this sensor on the fuel rail? Can it be removed?
