Default y7/y8 mini-me question (knock sensor and iacv)

i am throwing a knock sensor code and an iacv. code p1508 and p0325 are the exact codes i am getting.

-P0325 Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction
-P1508,P1519
Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) Circuit Malfunction
P1509 Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) Circuit Failure

i have a couple of questions to ask cause i am lost.

1. Since i am running a p2p now, i definately need to wire up a knock sensor, but where do i hook it up to? where is it located at? Are there any other alternatives i can do?

2. Since i am throwing a knock sensor code is it in limp mode? because it feels very jumpy and sensitive.

3. If i am in limp mode would it be ok to run the y7 p2e ecu for now so i wont be in limp mode? are the fuel maps bif differences from each other?

4. before i sold my turbo setup (p28 w/ jumper) everything was fine and i did a 3 wire iacv to 2 wire and never had any codes...now that i hook up the obd2 ecu i get a iacv code. Anything i should look for?

help would be appreciated thanks -steve

1. On the back of your y7 block right beneath the intake manifold there is a an empty threaded hole. That is for the knock sensor. You need an obd2 1-pin knock sensor. Run that to pin D6 on the ecu if you are running a 96-98 p2p ecu or C3 on the ecu if you are running a 99-00 ecu.

2. Yes you are in limp mode. It bogs and runs like crap.

3. Maps are different on the p2e ecu and you will probably run lean. The p2e looks for a 3-wire iacv and you have a 2-wire or at least you should have converted to a 2-wire iacv with your mini-me using a p2p ecu.

4. The pins may be different on the obd2 ecu for where the iacv wires go, not sure.
