Default wiring problems

i had posted this in the tech forum but no help. i need to get this thing going now. here we go:

i just put my b18b in my 96 hatch with a modified stock harness. i was throwing codes 7(TPS) and 54(CKF). i did the wiring trick mentioned here http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/ckftrick.htm only discrepency is that when i spliced wires 11 and 14, 14 was black opposite of the white wire on the above mentioned web-site.
ok. now i do not have code 54(CKF). instead i have code 7(tps) and 65- which is secondary o2 heater

im wondering if i spliced the wrong wires? any insight ?

i do not have a secondary o2. so it is logical for it to be throwing that code. my only problem is that it didnt throw it before.

why was pin 14 wire black???? did i cut the wrong wire? car runs like **** idles 5000rpm

I say dump the modified harness for a stock one or redo it. Run wires straight from the TPS to there correct locations and see what happens.

And your high idle is more then likely due to a very very bad vac. leak. Id look at manfiold gasket or TB gasket.

you might have been right about the vac leak. got rid of that tps code...

i think i know why i was throwing that code 54. my crank pully almost flew off and my alternater belt snaped im going to try to reverse that wiring that i did. also got the idle way down after i cleaned throttlebody mating surface and tightened pully. now to just fix that code 65.
