Wiring in a Knock Sensor for a D16Y7/8 mini-me
I need to know where the two knock sensor wires go to.
Every post I read says that there’s only one knock sensor wire.
Even the ECU diagram shows only one KS hook up location, but the KS itself has two contacts coming out of it (red and black).
Should I ground the black one and rout the red one to the ECU?

There's a bunch of mini-me's running around; I really doubt that they have check engine light on, too.
Come on, some one knows how to do this...
I'm fairly certain that the red one goes to the ECU, just have the black one left.

KS are 1 wire plugs. Not 2.
When i did a Mini me for someone like that i dont remember ever connecting a KS.

Thats what I hear too, but I have 2 wires on my connector also (red & yellow/blackstripe) so I don't what the deal is

Good, so I'm not the only one who has a knock sensor with two wires.
Now I just need to know where the second wire goes.
Here's a diagram, but it only shows one of the wires, Connector D, pin 6.

I don't have a picture, and taking it would be kind of hard because the engine is assembled and the sensor already installed (just not hooked up).
It looks exactly like this, except it's on a D16y7 block.

Re: Wiring in a Knock Sensor for a D16Y7/8 mini-me (d16rice)
I'll have to ckeck it somehow when I get home, but is it possible that the knock senor that I have has only one pin inside it, but the plug I'm using, although it fits the knock senor, actually came from another sensor, liek the green one in the picture below?
If so, I just have to ckeck which wire makes contact wit the senor pin and wire it in.
