Default wire tuck

i have a 94 EG hatch with b18c1 engine and tran. I dont want to pay Rywire 400-500 that too much. My question is what type of wire, gauge, where to buy some, etc.etc. to use cuz i like DIY. Also the reason why am change is my wire look crap(that how it came). Or should i look at junkyard to buy other OEM wire. It really hard to find around my area WA state. There are a lot more Trucks then hatch or couple in the JKyard.
