Default Wingswest skirts install on a hatch. (92-95) Question????

Whats up with that L shaped bracket? I dont have either bracket for either side. My car does not have them on. I bought the car pretty stripped, so I dont know what i can do. Anyone help me on this? Also, I dont have the stock side skirts either.

are you talking about the 8-10 clips that mount on by sliding the "stock" skirt on and snapping them into place? i had to rivet my WW side skirt in, thats what custom body work is all about

yeah it does. Just go to the hardware store and get some. one part of the L bracket screws on to your car, then you screw the back of the sideskirt to the other side of the bracket. That keeps the rear part of hte side skirt in tack, and straight and so it doesn't wobble around.

No. They come with the side skirts when ordered brand new. Stock side skirts dont need them because of the stock sides are held by all the plastic clips and one screw in the front wheel well. You need the L brackets to hold the rear of the ww skirts because theres no where to mount/screw the rear skirts to the car securely to keep it in place. You can still put the skirts on the car w/o the L brackets, but the rear won't line up to the car right or stay still cause nothings holding it down to the car excpet maybe some double sided tape.

hmm...hold on. Do you have the wings west RS side skirts? or different side skirts? Im pretty sure you can contact them and get the L brackets you need since they're supposed to come with the skirts. If they are the ww sideskirts, where did you get them? i thought wingswest had them on b/o or out of stock of them for like hella days.

Here is a pic of the ww rs side skirts on my car. I didn't have an L bracket used on them. Never had the chance to go to the hardware store and pick some up, or make some. They were held on by only double sided tape.

I may just tape mine on then, yours look legit. They are on B/O but a local shoip had a pair lying around. Where did you use the tape at?

Heavy duty double sided tape by 3m. Used on the top of the sideskirts at the end of the rear about from the door to the rear wheel well.

They're sweet. I think it was well worth the money for them. Only thing I DISLIKED, was that I had to lose the preload to tuck my 15s.

That's where the pic was taken. my first car show...really went to compete in the sound competition, but ended up frying the voice coil to the sub before the competition started while testing/tuning.
