Did you keep the Y7 axles or do they need change too?
How did it affect 0-60 times??? How did it affect low end?

yea swapping tranny's is a pain in the ***. especially when u dont have the right tools. or when u buy a tranny that is suppose to be an ex/si tranny and its not. That really sucks and turns out that the 2nd gear in the tranny u put in doesnt even work.. Also when u down grade to a non ex si tranny on a sohc vtec ur car cant pull for **** u will reach top speed in 3rd gear its like having an automatic.. sucks *** dude but enjoy. or just hurry and swap it.

Re: (pane93civhb)
Axles were stock Y7's. Didnt have a GTECH Pro to measure 0-60, but you can definately feel the difference. No need to down shift especially to 4th on the highway to pass. Great Mod!

Re: (EK-Chris)
Thank you!
I'm into buying EX tranny for my Y7 but I will also keep the existing one cos it is in TOP NOTCH SHAPE (no grinding gears, smooth shifting blablabla)... I will keep it cos in the near future I will either supercharge or boost it, and from what I read here, Y7 tranny is way better than Y8 for boost (longer gears, low end)
But until that time, I will have to work something to make it a bit funnier to drive so EX tranny is my first on the list...
There will be some I/H/E afterwards but I will have to find something really really good cos smog inspections here are a KILL... slight exhaust damage and you won't pass it...
Maybe even a mini-me ... if I manage to find Y8 head
