Will rust on rotor affect brake pad break in?
I bought some brembo rotors which I decided to paint black on the hub. I had prepped the metal so that the paint would stick, which I also did to the contact surface area. Well after I painted them my friend left them outside overnight, and the next day they were rust a little all along the contact surface. I'm about to install these along with Axxis Ultimates break pads, will the rust on the rotors affect the break in of the new pads? If it will, is there any way to get rid of the rust other than having them turned? Thanks!

It should only be very light surface rust if its was only from one night of being outside. Just wipe them off a little bit with a rag, once you hit the brakes one time they will be clean again anyway. So to answer your question... its doubtful that it will affect it

if it affected your braking, everytime you parked your car outside overnight you'd be fucked in the morning...but it doesn't so no worries
