Why does my heater do this....
Well for my second post lets talk about what Ive found wrong with the EG I just bought 24hrs ago....
Really nothing big, but when I have my climate control in any position besides OFF, when I turn the key in the off position and remove it, the climate control stays on. I have to physically turn the climate control off, which doesn even turn it off all the way, all the lights on the climate control are still on. Heres the wierd part, it only does it sometimes.... I figured no big deal, someone wired this way, but when i started to notice it only happened some of the time and it got me thinking.
Even odder, I installed a CD player unsuccessfully tonight (more and likely my fault; possibly wiring) and I was testing fuses out and looking them over, and I pulled one in the engine bay and put it back in, and the climate control came on. (It was off previously)
Anyone have any idea whats up with this thing? Blinkers, dash lights, cluster lights, EVERYTHING electrical works.... Im confused

electrical problems can be funny. it could be any combination of loose wires or missing bulbs.... my old integra was missing one of the front marker lights and my rear right directional just stayed on didint blink or anything and my tailights were out... i put the bulb in and vuola it was all fixed.

I wounder if the power to the climate control has been switched to a constant power instead of a acc power. Or it could be a relay getting stuck on, personally I would switch the relays around and see if it corrects the problem. But first mark the A/C relay with something so you don't get it mixed up.

I actually found this post.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1083763
Another thing, when I installed the cd player that didnt seem to work, the constant power didnt work (I used a test light to check for power), but I cant remember if it worked on the tape deck that was in there....

Figure this out yet? My POS EG did the same thing. I came out of work and my battery was dead. I had to turn the fan control off whenever I stopped. Its working fine now but Im afraid its not over.
My only idea is ignition switch.
Oh and its too damn cold to work on it right now. Ill wait for warmer days.

Re: Why does my heater do this.... (freakaccident)
I have no idea.
I looked at the fuse under the hood, and I noticed if I jiggled them around (the heater ones) with the keys out of the ign, the heater would turn on or off.
Its been raining HELLA in WA lately and the funny thing is, since it started raining I havent had the problem.... Im kinda worried as well.
Very interesting issue if you "acts" me
buy by all means, bump!
