Default white smoke

when i start my del sol it blows white smoke and idles at 2500 rpm then goes up to 3000 then back down to 1000. Every time I shift it blows white smoke. I tried using that sea foam stuff and now it idles smoother but it blows even more white smoke

Get a Haynes manual, a new head gasket and a saturday. You'll spend maybe $50-$75, maybe a few scraped knuckles and depending on your mechanical skills a few hours or a whole day. The upside is you'll save yourself about $250 and learn a little more about the wonderful D16. I'm tearing mine down as we speak to rework the head.

vaccume leak would usually cause an irratic idle. white smoke means your burining antifreze. and if you have done a head gasket before then you'll be fine its all straight forward on a d16.
