whining at 3000rpms
i've noticed recently on the highway that my car whines at 3000rpms, so i tested it off the highway and it doesn't matter what gear i'm in but at 3000rpms the engine, maybe transmission whines. any ideas on what this is and how can i fix it.

i had this problem. my headers heatshield was loose. fix the problem when removed. check all headshield on your car. like, headers shield(front/back), cat convert shield(top/bottom) tailpipe shield...this is a known issue that happens to a lot of hondas.

Re: (lv6l)
i hope so i was worried its something more serious but i'll check my heatshields, it would make sense because its only if i hold hold rpms at 3000rpms for an extended period of time. (like on the highway)

Re: whining at 3000rpms (methane)
I have heard of many things that cause this whining noise. It could be wheel bearings, tranny bearings, intake manifold, or even an exhaust leak. Good luck on trying to pinpoint the cause.
