where is the knock sensor on a D16Y8

Default where is the knock sensor on a D16Y8

I thought it was above the oil filter, but I cannot find it for anything. does anyone have a pic of it on a Y8?

look here newbie...on your block its on the top part of the block underneath the I.Manifold and its a little towards the left..

Mine does. And it broke when I was taking the plug off of it. Don't do that, cuz a new one is $110. Its on the back of the block by the number 4 piston.

i know him too. hes the one that doesn't know where the knock sensor is on his d16y8. correct me if i'm wrong.

E2000 is my cousin, and thanks for the replies. I already found it. it was just too far up to see it. I put a mirror in and saw it. Im not trying to pull it off. It is already broken and I need to replace it. I will probably end up taking off the intake manifold because it looks imposible to reach with a wrench

Can't help ya there. I've got mine down to just the block, so it was easy as pie to take off and put on. good luck though.
