Where to get bolts to mount D16Y8 to the engine stand
The tranny bolts aren't long enough to fit through the engine stand. I went to fastenal today to get longer bolts to mount the block on my engine stand. They don't carry an m12 bolt in that thread pitch in a 100 mm length. Where are you guys getting these when putting your engines on a stand?

Is it a Powerbuilt engine stand? or whichever one Kragon/Checkers sells? If so youll have to cut the holder a little to fit the bolts in correctly. I did that and worked great, never had a problem.

Don't remember what the stand is. The tranny bolts aren't long enough and if I cut the holders down, they won't be strong enough to support the other engines I do.

Home Depot? Lowes?
I would try one of those places. They always have a nice selection of bolts/nuts/screws at the ones i go to
What about the motor mount bolts??? I know they are long, just dont know if they will be the right thread. Just an idea

None of the bolts that are with the motor are long enough. Home Depot and Lowes usually don't carry hardened stuff in a metric size that long. I'm going to stop by there tonight and see if they have some all thread that long. If that doesn't work, I'm going to dig around my buddy's shop to see if there is anything laying there. I can't believe that it's this freaking hard to get an engine on a stand.
