Default How to Mount Motor on Engine stand?

I was wondering the question in the title. I have a d16 and I wanted to throw it on an engine stand. I was wondering how I do it? Where do I put the bolts? what bolts do I use? etc? I wanna get this thing off the floor tonite so any help is appreciated.

Use bolts that mount into the transmission holes (but longer)
I needed 2 that size, for the blind holes, and 2 thinner bolts with a nut to go through open holes.

If you already have a stand, just place the plate to the tranny side and figure out which holes to use and go from there

Make sure you use longer bolts or you will stripout your case. You have to mount at least 3 bolts 4 is prefered.

the stand i have uses all 4 for b series, and havent been able to use 4 on a d series but 3 held it just fine.

ok thanks, just wanted to make sure using long bolts was the answer. Can I get bolts for this at Ace hardware or something?

as long as theyre the right thread/pitch sure...but I couldnt find them locally at all (had to order them)

Lowes carries Metric bolts, wether or not they have long enough ones, I dont know.

An auto part store would have metric bolts, I know the ones here by me do well Autozone does at least not all.
