where does this vacuum line go???!!! b18c swapped ek
i finished my swap a few days ago...car has been running nice except for that it idles at 1500.
can someone tell me what this vacuum line is and where does it go too? where am i supposed to plug the other end too? it is comeing from the intake manifold but i dont know where to plug it too.
i believe this might be the source of my high idle, becuase when i plug the open end with my finger my idle drops down to normal.
i tried to post as detailed pics as possible so they might be a bit big.
please any input is appreciated.
it is a jdm b18c in a 96 ek.

It goes to the purge solenoid sensor or whatever its called, the little black cylinder thing its bolted to the back of your stock intake mani. look under your hood too i think theres a vaccum diagram on there that shows it.

Yes is called the Evap Purge control solenoid. The vaccum hose goes from your intake manifold to the bottom of the evap, then another comes out the side of the evap and goes to your charcoal canister. I'm not sure if the jdm engines have this, you can either hook it up or plug the nipple. There should also be a connector on the u.s. harness for it.

i will also vouch for cruise control. the purge solenoid is normally found somewhere on the fuel rail and not on the firewall..........

Not on an Integra it's not. Integra's don't use vacuum-referenced cruise control. It's completely electro-mechanical.
That port is for the IAB. [On GS-R motors.]
EDIT: Oh wait, it's either an aftermarket manifold or that's just the way the JDM ITR manifolds are. Is it an ITR or SiR-G engine?

i own the same engine and had the same question when i put mine in. its defiantly for the evap purge. but if you have the cruise control you can use it for that too. i just plugged mine with one of those vacuum plug caps you can get from autozone etc. it will run just fine with it plugged

yeah its a JDM ITR SWAP and thats an OEM type r manifold.
i plugged it and did alot of driving after about 60 miles...car seemed to run fine...and my idle now is at 1000 rpm give or take a 100 at times.

Re: (sicky)
it is definatly 1000000% the EVAP purge solenoid. JDM cars do not have them and USDM cars do that is why when you swap in a JDM motor you have the extra vacuum hose. it will not affect performance at all if you do not have one. i only suggest to install one if you need to pass smog like i did here in california.
