When a rod starts to knock...?

When a rod starts to knock...?
Im very interested in learning about rod knock, and how it happens.
Well my story is, my GSR developed a rod knock today, and finding out that I have driven it HARD today w/o any oil (EVEN tho i did an oil change two days ago WTF!).
THAT can explain for my loss of power regarding my questions on my other post...I had been wondering why my car hadn't been pulling like it should. Hopefully my head is fine..Compression read 210+ all across.
Well my main concern is, will my head be fine? I plan on buying a new GSR block this friday, so i assume i'll be needing a new headgasket for sure. How about head bolts? Will I have to replace them?
And for some reason, i am not getting my hopes up as to this is the reason why my GSR swap performed so poorly...
I mean for one day, it ran STRONG, hopped and pulled all the way to 3rd, but then i blow my dizzy, and **** hits the fan..The motor isnt pulling anymore, and then rod knock starts.
My timing isnt off, everything lines up

Re: When a rod starts to knock...? (CrX-To-Tha-Max-v2.0)
1 quart lucas oil stabilizer, 1 quart gear oil and 2 quarts sae 60 motor oil
run like that for like 3 days and then change back your normal oil and it'll stop knocking, but first phillip, check and see if the block is hot foooo
