if they are the same tire, and the same width wheel, i think they will be about as close to even as possible. not gonna be a visible difference, and speedo won't see it either.

use this site to find diamter size.. from my past experience with the site it's pretty much on the money .. and I entered in your size's and actuall the 15inch tire will be taller.. but not by much

wow I was messing with BDC site.. and if u had a stock tire of 215/65/19.. and u went to a 145/30/13 rim and tire setup... when your speedo reads 60 u actually are going 30.8mph =P... I'm bored

LoL! This one blows me away - try it...

Stock tire: 185/65/14 (OEM CiViC aka Too Small!)

New tire: 205/40/17 (Aftermarket CiViC aka Too Big!)

Tell me what you think???

could you imagine the vehicle that designer's would need such a combo for?

true most people don't undrstand how 14inch rims are the same as the 17inch rim... but I've been trying to figure out ways to make my gearing closer without changing to a gsr tranny nor getting a higher FD.. and I've noticed that the only other way is to find a tire/wheel combo that will have a smaller diamter but yet give me enough traction on the track

I use this formula to calculate overall tire dia.:

tire width multiplied by aspect ratio(percentage), divided by 12.7, + wheel dia. = o.d.

For ex. :
205 X .4 / 12.7 + 16" = 22.46" o.d.(205/40-16)
195 X .5 / 12.7 + 15" = 22.68" o.d.(195/50-15)
185 X .6 / 12.7 + 14" = 22.74" o.d.(stock tire size for '92-95 civic- 185/60-14)
205 X .4 / 12.7 + 17" = 23.45" o.d.(205/40-17)
205 X .5 / 12.7 + 15" = 23.07" o.d.(205/50-15)

I'd do a 205/50-15. Good tread width and tire availability.
Hope this helps.
