try revving it while you let off the clutch as if you were launching..... gently.... how old is your clutch?

so what happens if you are revving the motor a little while you let off the clutch. it sounds to me like your tranny is locked up..... but it seems like the car should be trying to pull itself as it stalls out.

you cant fully disengage the clutch without it stalling out, even in neutral, and in neutral its as if there is resistance in the clutch

will the car roll in neutral with the motor turned off?

i seriously think maybe you're having a problem in the tranny... possibly your lsd. i don't know much about lsd's though so i can't really help too much in this area

this has happened to me in a number of different cars, but never my honda. Try starting it in gear, with the clutch out. You should hear the starter turn over, and you will begin driving forward. Keep repeating this procedure until it is back to normal. What happens is the flywheel and clutch actually get rusted together if they have been sitting; a product of time and just the right humidity. good luck

good idea.... your 99 si has a safety in the clutch pedal that won't allow the car to crank unless your clutch is fully depressed. get down there at your clutch pedal and jimmy the safety so it'll be useless... then crank her up.

-Erik <--- who thinks if it hasn't been sitting for a long time you've got some internal tranny problems

well its been sitting for 4 months, but it has been driving perfectly for the last week, plus just got a quaife put in last week on top of that, so i doubt they have been rusted together

My guess would be that when you put the quafe in something was not tight.. then came loose and is now jammed in the trans..
