easy answer...
one is for a d16z6 and the other for a d16y8.
but really, the combustion chamber is smaller in the y8 and the y8 has more quench area to resist detonation.
also, the z6 has tumble ports (which are better suited for "top end") while the y8 head has swirl ports.

I had read the y8 Distributor can be altered to work on a Z6 head, can I do this the other way around? will the plugs and wires still work? If I get a Y8 Distributor, can it work with my OBD1 ECU and harness?
