Default What would cause this starting problem?

So whenever I try to start my car, it would take couple cranks to start. I would have to hold the key for like couple seconds, it makes this "juk juk juk..." sound when i'm holding the key and then the car would start up after that couple seconds.
If I try to start the car again like an hour after turning it off, it'll start in an instant. Once the car has been off for too long, it'll take couple cranks again to start the car.
What could be causing this?
Maybe starter, battery, spark plugs?
thanks

When it doesn't start right away watch to see if the check light comes on for a second or two and then cuts off (fuel pump priming indicator). If it doesn't then you may have a main relay issue.

I will pay attention to it when i start it later but i dont remember seeing any light going on as i hold the key to start the car. If it's a main relay issue. How do i go about fixing that?
