That swap would be illegal if the motor is out of an EG (correct me if I'm wrong), but the D15B transmission or EX/Si would be best.

are you getting the 96-2000 d15b? That'd be cool, lot's of people doing the earlier model in there EG's but having that 3-stage VTEC would be pretty cool to see. Uses the same tranny as the Y8 by the way. any other b series tranny (except Z6) is going to hurt performance.

WOW its not 3 stagevtec, the swap would be illegal as seeing it was only offered in the OBDI years, and the z6/y8/bvtec are all the same trannies cept some of the d15bvtec trannies had LSD

I think slammed meant bvtec as in d15bvtec as opposed to a d15b non-vtec (like a DX for example).

I ment to put D series tranny not B series tranny there. my bad. Any other D series tranny other than y8, Z6, D15B tranny is going to hurt performance.

It is illegal to put a motor from an older car into a newer car. IE can't put a 94 motor into a 97 car.
