Default what should i do with my 99 hatch???

i have a 99 hatchback with about 55K miles on it with the engine running good. my question is should i run juss turbo or should i get a b16 swap or another swap. my thinking is that my engine that i have now is doing me ok and that greddy kit would be ok but i dont want to spend that money and find myself not going fast enough. i am also a 17 hs student, working at quiznos, and being paid 5.75, so i cant juss throw my money into my car like it is nothing. i also want a good resale on my car and find my self spending 10g's on my car and can only sell it for 5g's.

i say save a grip of money and wait unti you have a bank roll and than spend the money accordingly. i'm sure your taste will change throughout the months. also, $5.75? I thought minium wage was $6.75.... oh well. just wait.

I got my car over a year ago and i'm turning 19 this year. i wish i saved a lot of money instead of dumping it all into my car. now that i got a new job, im wating till i have a couple grand and blowing out but keeping some.

do what you like.

If money is tight, don't do anything to the car. Any mods you put on the car will return less then 50% when selling the car.

Having said that. Do suspension.

save up and do research. im 16 turning 17 in june and have saved up about 3k. i was and still savign money for a swap off the internet. then i got a great deal locally. the key is to get connections which will save u alot of money. be patient and research and then drop the money when u really know ur ready so u dont have to look back regret on what u wasted ur money on.

forgot to give u my opinion on ur question, i say save up suspension, upgrade brakes, and then the swap. it really depends on ur goal how fast u wanna be, i want to hit 12s on street tires. but u know if u wanna be fast its not cheap.

i agree with the guy that said get nitrous. if you're on a tight budget and want speed without spending too much money, nitrous is the way to go. then, when you decide to sell the car, you can just take it out and minimize your losses. also, like a lot of other people suggested, upgrade your suspension and get some kind of 15 or 16" rims.

I agree with some of the people that have posted, if you are on a tight budget. Buy upgrades you can remove from the car and transplant into your next car or you can also sell to minimise your loses. If you decide to go with a swap keep your stock motor so you can keep the motor for you next Honda or sell. I am in the same dilema, to do a swap or add turbo. Ater much thought, I think a turbo will be a better alternative on the stock motor(SOHC), because, in my opinion the HP gains are more than a normally asperated B16 or B18, at a price of about the same or less than doing a swap. That's just my $0.02.

it really depends on ur goal on wether u get a swap or not. its true that a turbo SOHC is faster than a b18 swap but what about a turbo b18? so basically it depends on ur goal. i have a 98 dx with 108 HP i think, so a turbo wouldnt make that fast enough and i got a deal on this swap so im goin LS VTEC.
