Re: What sensor is this??? (eg cookiemonster)
oh ok...cause on my gsr motor its soaked with oil....but its not under the cam seal and i just replaced it with one of those alum ones with 3 o-rings...well the sensor is right under the distributor so are there any other places that oil can leak down on that sensor on a GSR head??

Thats the v-tec sensor connector. Yes it would leak oil if the sensor seal is bad. Sometimes people will tap their vtec solenoid for oil feed on their turbo's.

perhaps the vtec solenoid gasket is old and/or the cam seal that hides behind the vtec solenoid is old...change those at all?

It's the ECT
Engine Coolant Temperature sensor.
