Don't overfill your oil. You'll regret it.

about a half qt i think</TD></TR></TABLE>
So it's over the top mark on the dipstic? Why don't you drain some? Overfilling of the oil can cause it to foam and froth, leading to oil starvation. I've also been told that the cat can be damaged, but I don't know if that's true, because I'm not sure how that could happen.

the cat can be damaged if you start burning that excess oil. it gets in the top of your engine (the foamed oil) and gets into your intake manifold, causing you to burn lots of it. this thick oily smoke clogs up your cat.
now, for just a half a quart overfilled, that really shouldn't hurt anything.

That's actually what I was thinking, but hadn't looked into it too much.

Re: (H22KILLER)
if its overfilled shouldnt it "kick in" harder??? J/K i dont see why it wouldnt work. but still drain some of that oil, i also heard that to much oil puts to much pressure on your rings and cause damage there too.
