Default What kind of pistons do I have?

I just bought a B16a block. The guy told me it had type R pistons in it. Here are the pistons.
Could anybody tell me what compression they are and what they most likely came out of?

P73-A0 is the B18C5 piston code.

p73-A0 (USDM B18C5)

it will drop your compression to 9.7 with a b16 head
b16 strokes are shorter then the c5

I was told they are 11:1. Is that wrong?

if you mate it with a b16 head your compression will be 9.7
unless the block or head has been milled or not using stock headgasket size

check that site out

So it will actually be lower compression? I have currently have a b16a in my Del Sol. I was planning on swapping the B16a block I bought with my block. O was going to get a headgasket that would raise compression and spray. If I did that my compression would be lower.

I was aimig for higher compression for an all motor type of setup + nitrous. I was also planning on getting my head ported and polished. And adding better cams.

if you wanted higher compression with stock pistons

go with the CTR pct (JDM B16B) it will raise it to 10.8

So the pistons I have in that block will actually lower my compression.

how did you get 10.03cr?

its 9.7 if he has stock spec on his head, block and headgasket
