Default What is this hole?!?!?!?! HELP PLZ!! SEARCHED!!

I'm in the last stages of putting my motor together, what is this hole for? I have it currnetly sealed off but I kinda need to know. Thanks.

you can use it for PCV setup.

what block is that ive never noticed a "hole" there. theres a hole on the right side of the oil filter but that for ur oil rez. (the black box).

It opens up to the crankcase I believe. I know the big hole to the right of the oil filter connection does. What you have there might be a plug that opens up to the water jacket. Sometimes this thing is called a "freeze plug" and removed when installing block heaters in the northern states.

looking closer, I don't think it's a freeze plug. I think it opens to the crank case just like the hole to the right. Just leave it plugged.

Here's my B16A. It's plugged there too. Just leave it alone.

a B is a B. plugs and holes all do the same thing. PLug it with one of these big *** plugs and call it a day.

The plug on the top right if for the factory oil cooler option. The one on the bottom left is a clean out plug.

I believe the Dart block uses a different plug than a Honda block, if I remember right I had to use a 3/4" NPT fitting on mine, but check the threads to be sure because I could be hallucinating again. I used both those holes for crankcase ventilation.

I know. I had that thing circled from a previous question, and that pic was the only one I had online at the time.
