Most people on here dont have love for the Single Cams... As for the z6... Its not bad for a start... it has about the same power curve as the JDM d15b, but i believe the z6 has a little bit more torque...
But in my opinion, if you are going to stick on the sohc bandwagon, then I would go with the d15. From my experiences with these engines, the d15b has quite a bit more of a pull than the z6...
either way, z6 or b, you should boost... its fun and one of the easiest and cheapest ways to have a quick little car...

its like pretty much any other civic sohc motor, good on gas, slow, no torque, dont waste money on go faster parts unless its a turbo

I have one in my del sol that is I have a d16z6 and my one of my friends has a jdm b16 in a interga and I bet him out the whole and to about 45mph don't knock the z6 and like almost every honda engine it has no tq but turbo it and you will keep up with V6's and small V8's. Honda = no wieght so if you keep that in mind you dont need 300hp to keep up with a 4,000lb V8 that has 300hp. But thats just my 2 cents

Like what almost everyone who posted has already said, turbo is the only way to go on a z6 if you want power with that motor. Depending on the right set-up and tune, you could take out B-series powered Hondas. You can go to this site that'll give you plenty of good info on turbo D-series motors: http://www.turbod16.com

Re: (eetmaishiet)
z6 is a nice engine. research on how to make power out of them and then decide what you want your goal in whp. then go for it!!!! SOHC RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
