for 1 grand id probably get a nice i/h/e setup, and then possibly suspension. i/h/e might run you a grand alone. I dont know bout keeping up with gsrs with i/h/e but you can add some horsepower.

A used Nitrous kit (50 shot) and then get properly tuned. You will keep up with the GSR/Si models after that.

With a D series, there are ONLY 2 options.

1. Nitrous
2. Turbo setup

Buying anything NA for a D series is a HUGE waste of money. You're not going to see any gains from it (except a stage 1 weight reduction in your wallet).

i would have to say with a d.... boost is the way to go... yet most kits run upwards of $2500.... so i would say unless you know enough about a turbo setup and can craft your own.... it may be costly. yet, i/h/e never hurts.... just one question..... why swap, the 99 ex has a d16y8? just less miles i guess? but yea if you want any ideas on parts or anything i had a turbo ex feel free to hit me up

Third option, and it's free! Gut it!
