Default D16Y8

I'm starting to think that I'm going to stick with my stock engine, rather than swapping it.

whay do you guys think. I plan an NA Tuning it and putting a turbo in it.
along with all the other usual things. maybe NOS. if I run out of stuff to do

how much HP and torque do you think I can get out of it?

its been done but its not a route most would go. if you are thinkin about turbo and nos you are really goin to have to build up that motor. y8 internals are weak as hell especially the rods . if you are thinkin about doing all of this you might as well swap it for a b series then turbo. b16 + turbo is a good set up.
but if you wanna start off big b18c1 and the c5 is another alternative. you get the added power and tq numbers are much better with those motors.

just my 2 pennys

I'm currently building up another D16Y8 for my 99 Civic. I've already prepped the block, all I need are new bearings, and the bottom-end will be assembled. I'm using the Eagle H-beams, and SRP 9:1s for high boost. I'm running the Greddy kit, and I don't give a @#$% what people say, I'm going to run 10-15 psi on that kit. Look at it this way... if you break a D16Y8 motor, it's another $700 to get another one, maybe even less if you just need a shortblock. If you break a B-series... well... that's gonna be a lot more!

you plan on na tuning it and turbo? uhh...dont get that one, but anyway, na on the street expect no more than 175hp to the wheels with standalone, good for mid 13's on slix, for turbo i've seen 350+ on the street, 11's on slix.
