Re: what is a d16z???? (egmatt89)
please tell me you didnt buy an ex or si and be fooled into it having a d16z6 swap in it?
haha anyway a d16z6 is a sohc vtec, makes 125 hp, forget the torque #'s, i have one its turbo charged,
when i was a mechanic honda referred to all motors as a z motor and a A motor, etc
its a trend no one seems to notice d16a6 d16z6
k20a2 k20z3, but a basic rule of thumb is that their somewhat simialr but the generations different, but its not really applicable anymore it only really matters if your reading tsb's or recall prcedures

You aren't making any sense! First you said you bought it with the swap and now you're doing to swap. Another thing is that the DX hatchbacks didn't have a VTEC-E motor the HX did. Use the search button and read read read! There are tons of companies out there that make aftermarket parts for that motor and you aren't going to get 300whp with $2,000!
IBTL!
