Wet CAI, stalled car, help/info needed! Hydrolock?
Okay, today my CAI became soaked on my 99 SI and the car died a few times. I don't think the filter was submerged though, just splashed heavily by cars in other lanes. On the way home, the car started to bog alot and when I got home I checked the ECU codes and found I had a random misfire for the #1, #3, and #4 cylinders. Basically, how F***ked am I? Can this be considered "hydrolock?" and what measures to I need to take to save anything (If I can). Now that I'm at home, I slapped another filter on and the car seemes to idle fine. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Ok, you put on another filter and the car idles fine. How does it drive? And when you pulled off the other filter, was it wet, soaked, or full of water?
Since you say the car idles fine now.. most likely everything's okay. If you still had lots water in the motor.. I doubt it would have started.

The filter was pretty soaked, but I wouldn't say that it was full of water. As far as driving, I haven't taken it out yet...
