Weird Idle Issue
Since the weather is starting to warm up my car has been idling a bit differently lately. When you're coming to a stop and push in the clutch the car's RPM's fall very quickly and dies sometimes (other times it evens out and stays at the 800-900RPM setting that it's set at), but it only happens when it's hot/humid outside...however when it's cool it runs perfectly fine.
IACV possibly or should I look else where?
Stupid Edit:
It's a '94 Civic DX with a swapped B18C1 with I/H/E, phearable.net P28, forged bottom end, and ARP headstuds.

Re: Weird Idle Issue (93 civic si)
Here is something your gonna wanna try. pull off your intake tube or sweet cold air, whatever have you. Buy a can of STP air intake cleaner or similar, and follow the directions on the can. basically hold open the throttle butterfly and spray a few seconds worth of cleaner into the intake plenum ina circular motion. replace the tube (dont tighten) and start the car. it will start like sh*t and black smoke will come out of the exhaust (likely). Let it run for a few 'til it evens out and repeat the cleaning procedure. eventually you'll notice less color in the exhaust and easier starting. after reattaching the intake permanently, go for a drive and rip on it. let it idle and problem solved..

^I was also thinking something similar to that might happen, plus the humid weather in SETX could turn any dirt/build-up that was in the throttle into some kind of gooey crap.
I'm going to check it out this afternoon and let you guys know.

Re: Weird Idle Issue (JKov240)
Well, today I pulled my short-ram off and cleaned up the throttle body a bit. It had a bit of black dirt/debris in it, but I wouldn't think enough to effect the idle too much. I decided to give that a try first until I decided to pop the IACV off, so I went to my dad's shop (he owns an import repair shop) and printed out a test from AllData to test out the IACV, only problem is the engine has to be below 86 degrees Farenheit, so I'll have to wait until I have an open morning to try that out.
So, after all that I drove to my parent's house and noticed the idle droppage (new word ) wasn't quite as bad as it was, but still wasn't perfect.

I'd start with cleaning out your throttle body just to start with, it helped mine out until I get the time to pull the IACV off, but remember, if you take the IACV off you need to replace the O-rings.
