My brother in law has a 1996 Civic and his climate control is not working like its suppose to. Heres the situation: if you hit the windshield button air comes out of the other vents and if you hit the other vent buttons the air is getting directed to the windshield. Has anyone ever fixed or seen this kind of thing?Any help would be appreciated!

Whenever you turn on front defrost, does air still come out of where its supposed to, as well as the main vents?

If so, then you have nothing to worry about

all the buttons are switched around......if i use the front defrost, the air comes out of the main vents...and if i use the main vents the air comes out of the front defrost..should i just go ahead and change the climate control???

Forget it, it works - just backwards. Messing with the in dash climate control stuff is a pain in the ***.

it doesnt work....the air doesn't defrost the windshield because it's getting blocked some how.......
