Default Climate control problems

In my 97 Prelude im having a problem with switches that allows me to control where i want the air to come out. EX: if i press the button the have the air blow on the windsheild the air comes out all areas, such as windsheild, floor, middle area.

I tried a little test by turning the air on #4 and switching all though the control setting and nothing changes from on to the other. the air just comes out steady in all areas.

Now when im in my civic and change the air control i hear something move and feel the air on where its soppose to come out. the air just doesn't shot out everywhere like in the Prelude.

the only thing i can think of is that there might be a blown fuse or a piece broken thats not allowing something to move. anyone had this problem or know what could do to fix it?

the vent on my driver side door stays on all the time; I think it has to do w/ a valve, or the electronics controlling it. Anyone else?

There is a motor (or atleast on th 5th gen there is) that controls the air flow. On older cars it used to use vacuum to change the flow. It might be in a difrent place on your car but on mine its on drivers side near the floor attached to the center console. I know this wont help much but I havent worked on 4th gen climate controls. ANyone else?
