Default Washed my engine bay... now no start.

well i washed my engine bay. started the car and it ran shitty, so i drove around the block hoping it would go away and when i parked my car engine just died. i checked the connectors none seem to be wet inside, checked for spark and its good, fuel is good.... car cranks but you hear poping noise from the exhaust. could someone help please.

just let it sit and dry...mine did that after i washed it to, like an hour later it stopped

sound like your dizzy ? are you getting spark while you cranking??

hmmmm i dont know what else could have trigger it... take out the spark plugs and see if they wet?? and dry all the wires... and i would also take off the dizzy cap just to make sure and let it dry.

i'll try that. just hope i didnt make anything worse because i tried starting it for like 5 minutes after it died out.

did you just spray it with a hose or did you use some simple green and just wipe it down?

sprayed with bottle of engine degreaser and then the hose. nice and clean. anyways, i popped out the cap and there was water in it, looked at the rotor and seemed to have burnt the tip.. jus got back from autozone with new cap and rotor. car now runs better then before. thanks for the tips.
