walbro 255 fuel pump prob
I installed a new walbro fuel pump in my EH about 4 days ago and it was running alright until i pulled back in my driveway 3 mins later. It started to bog down and died. So after messing around i change that little filter sock on the bottom of the fuel pump back to the stock one. It ran really good for about 2 days. Now today I let my car Idle on a cold start and it died 4 mins later. I'm so confused on this. I thought that maybe it flooded, so i pulled the plugs and crank the motor by hand. Still nothing it does not start. What could be the problem???? I'm totally lost.
I just installed the stock pump now my car starts and runs no problem. anyone know why???

Either a bad pump or faulty installation would be my best guess.

I installed it correctly for sure. It's a brand new pump and still could be bad but it was working before. I'm guessing I have too much fuel pressure, and need a regulator. correct me if im wrong. but, another person on here thought the same. Thanks for the reply.

The pump should still run.

is your fuel line leaking under the motor
i had a AEM FPR and after i installed the 255 my gasket in the AEM gave way and started to leak and did the same thing, just something to check out.

I feel your pain.....I installed my 255 walbro and I cant get my Fuel pressure below 50psi with my B&M FPR. Also, when I start my car in the morning.. it starts... then will kinda bog for a second so I hit the gas a little and it runs and idles fine from then on.

Re: walbro 255 fuel pump prob (Frankenstein)
There seems to be no leaks. I was gonna install the B&M fpr sometime soon also. I hope im able to turn down the pressure with that. What am i suppose to do if that does not work. I'm installing a custom turbo kit with the VAFC Hack and 450 dsm injectors soon.
