Default Fuel Pump Problem - Need Advise

First off let me start that I ahve searched HT zerosearch and found lots of topics relating to fuel pumps (and they have guided me in the right direction), but none of them solved my problem.

My problem: Car will start sometimes perfectly, and sometimes it would start, turn the engine about 2-3 times, then die off.

More details: The fuel pump (i forgot the exact phrase for it), power cycles for about 10 secs. This is supposed to happen. This sometimes happens in my car, and sometimes doesn't.

What I have done: I have put in a GSR fuel pump, thinking it was the fuel pump, but that did NOT solve the problem, same thing still happens. I have also cleaned the connectors to the fuel pump with that connector/contact cleaner crap, still same ****.

One thing that I did notice is that my fuel pump doesn't "cycle" like it supposed to when it's daytime and very humid (thanks nyc). So I came to believe that this is something electrical relating to the fuel pump.

Current Actions: I am going to talk that fluke voltmeter and see was the voltage/current is (going to the fuel pump of course)....

I still don;t understand why it sometimes happens, and sometimes doesn't???

One thing for sure is that it happens in the daytime during humid weather... (which leads me to think its electric somewhere...

If anyone has any input or anything, please post or PM me... Any help or advice towards the right direction will be gladly appreciated. And in advance thank you for your time guys.....

I think its the main relay too, either that or the ignition switch. I just checked the voltage to the fuel pump (should have checked it before i cleaned the connectors), and the voltage is fine. The only other think I can think of is the relay (which is prob. responsible for the timing of the fuel pump "cycling" in the beg.)...

So main relay it is? Anyone think that it can be the ignition switch?
