might check the wiring on the pin outs and at the distributor end, also check u have enough oil, and did u let the car come to normal operation temp? vtec doesnt cross over on a cold runnin engine

Do you have a check engine light on? Is the ECU chipped?

If it revs to 7500 VTEC is working. Sorry to tell you that but its the truth. There is no "kick" with SOHC VTEC.

Did your D15B come with a VTEC pressure switch, can you take a pic?

Arg

Run wires from:

Vtec - Goes from #1 on first picture to A4
Vtec pressure Switch - Goes from #2 on first picture to D6

Make sure those are in there nice and tightly, especially Get the right clip ends for the Passenger Harness (picture 1) and snug inside your ECU. Just go to a scrap yard and steal a plug from the engine bay of a civic and for inside the ecu. Always nice to have spares.

Try that. If you cant see the picture just google - obd1 ecu pinouts. 92-95. N just look for A4 and D6.

He should already have VTEC wired in if its an Si so that shouldn't be the problem. Again does your engine have the VTEC pressure switch? I'm asking because you said JDM D15B and often times they don't come with it.
