ECU REMAPPING?!? NO VTEC!!!! HELP!!!
Okay here's the deal. We just finished putting a JDM H22A1 into my '94 EG. We ran the P13 ECU but the idling was horrible, and acceleration was even worse. By the way VTEC didn't engage. So, we hooked up the P28, and it ran like a dream, except for one little problem. NO VTEC!!! I was just at the track, and with bad tires and no VTEC my best time was 15.72. I need to know how the fix the problem. We've tried replacing the selenoid, still no good. A Honda pal of mine suggested remapping the ECU and then retuning the car. If that's not the case, what is it? And if I do need to remap the ECU, how? I need to be in the 14s!!!

if you aqre not gettign a check engine light it is most likely something else, can you at least make the vtec solenoid click by putting 12 volts to it while the car is off?

Re: (HOOKUPS)
I called Hook-Ups and talked to Chris about the VTEC problem and I couldn't have talked to a better guy. He gave me a full run-down on the problem and procedures to fix it, and I just want to thank him and Hook-Ups for that. Thanks, guys!
