Vtec not working, code 1259 and 1298 help
I was driving and noticed that my vtec was not kicking in. I got home staying in low rpm, and read the codes. It's throwing codes 1259 and code 1298. In the ecu code topic it says 1259 means vtec system malfunction, and 1298 means electrical load detector, high voltage. The car is a 97 ex with a 01 gsr swap. It was working earlier, but it stopped. And also my speedometer doesn't work. Can you help me? Thank you

that might be the problem, replace the sensor on top of the tranny or see if it plug in.

If your Speed sensor is gone whack, you will get no v tec. Buy a computer that cancels check engine lights... if u feel to lazy to fix your speed sensor.
