Default vtec help

The previous owner of my 95 coupe with a b16a swap bypassed the vtec with a wire to run it to a toggle switch on the dash. If i just remove the wire he used to bypass with will the vtec kick in when it is supposed to again?

Why on earth did he do that ? The solution:Re-wire it correctly to the ecu/solinoid.

With it seeing how they wired it its impossible to tell. However if they wired it like people normally do it should work. What ECU are you running?
