VTEC controller help
i have a FIELD's V-SFC and i couldnt find the exact wire diagram to install it on a 2000 EX so i used a 99-00 Si install guide. the controller is second hand but it seems to be working ok on the SFC side. but as for vtec, i get problems. as soon as VTEC engages, the throttle like stops and it wont go anymore. it just stops revving up and then dies..... anyone got any info on this??? tia

Re: VTEC controller help (eeJayeiGht)
With the Apex'i controller there is a wire coming off of the harness that's called the VTM wire. From what I understand, this wire needs to be clipped on the stock wiring harness and the wire coming off the VTEC controller harness should be soldered so that it goes directly into the ECU. Essentially with the VAFC it's tricking the ECU into thinking the right pressure exists or something to that effect. If you don't have it hooked up and you try to change the VTEC engagement point it won't work.
Now, whether all this applies to the Fields controller is up to you to decide. I've never worked with one before so you'll have to check out the wiring diagram and see if something like that exists.

Re: VTEC controller help (HypertecSi)
Check out this site. It has the wiring diagrams for your car. I just installed mine and I haven't had any problems with the install. Hope this helps you out.
