vtec
i have a jdm b16a had to replace the ecu with a b18 ecu because the b16a ecu was bad will my vtec still work? how do i no if my vtec working when on boost?

if you get a gsr ecu. but it would be best to stay with the ecu that is made for your motor. or just get a computer chipped to meet your requirements. with boost you will hear vtec the same as you always do.

you will need a ecu that supports vtec (p28, p30, p72) or a chipped ecu with a program that supports vtec. You will still hear your vtec engage when your on boost... its more of a sound then feel thing especially when on boost.

if its chipped and tuned on crome then you should have set a VTEC engagement point when tuning the ECU. with that in mind when you drive wait and listen for VTEC when you get to where you set it.
