Which VSS will work? D-series.
I need a VSS for my D16y7 and wondering what all will work. I had a GSR VSS laying around but it didn't plug into the harness. Will any, all years, VSS from a D-series Civic work?

Why wont the GSR one plug into the harness? They should all be 3-pin connectors. Some are vertical while others are horizontal on a connecter support bracket. They should pretty much all be interchangeable.

Were the connectors the same style? They should all be a 3 pin connector.
Sometime when you unplug them from the wire harness, the plastic insert (and sometimes the rubber weather seal) from the connector will stay inside the sensor. You can remove that with a pair of needle nose pliers. Typically the wire harness plug feels like it should go in, but it just wont snap into position.

Looks the same as the plug. I mean samething happened with my friend so I guess it doesn't work.
