vss fuse pops
ok check this my vss/alt fuse keeps popping and when this pops my car has no speedo.
car is 00 si with b16 and matching tranny
it happens randomly can't say it happens every day till now...
i was told to ohm out the vss which i will do tomorrow . but just wondering if any one else has seen thi issue. ws told this is what happens when vss goes bad...
mains issue is i do not have speedo and no charging if fuse is blown.. i want to get rid of this **** already...
any ideas?

I've see issues where part of the wiring harness got clamped between the tranny bell housing and the engine. It could be something as simple as that.
Once you get the volt meter on there, you'll know if you have voltage if the gauge reads, obviously. Figure out which wire is the ground. Then check for continuity between the other two wires and the tranny case, engine, negative terminal. That will tell you if one of them is grounding out. If one or both are, try it again with the sensor unplugged. If neither one grounds out, it's the sensor. If one or both do, you know you have a wiring issue.
