Default Vibrant Street Power ?

I was looking to buy a new ws2 but dont have the money or can find a used one for a decent price.. So a friend said i should look into a Vibrant Street Power exhaust does anyone have one on there car? If so wats ur opinion on dat exhaust

my plans for the setup is

-after market headers
-2.25" magnaflow high-flow cat
-2" or 2.25" piping from cat all the way to the exhaust

-wats ur opinion on sound quality with the setup im thinking of

Any suggestions?

Engine setup?

Lots of the all motor guys like the vibrant straight through. If you're planning on doing any build with sincerity you should just get 3" exhaust all the way back. Turbo or n/a.

What "aftermarket headers" are you considering?

Why DC headers?

Private label MFG offers a d-series header that will perform a lot better and is probably cheaper.

DC headers can rust/crack just like OEM ones do.

DC seems to have had this mystique about them that was carried over from all the hype of the 90's. Every magazine was pimping out any all all DC products HEAVILY back in the day. Looks like some of that has still managed to survive to this day.

Would a WS2 replica work? I believe there is a sponsor for them in the Marketplace.

i have STP stealth, 2.5, hi flow cat and no res. yet.

you can you tube for some videos. but sadly most are catless and sound poopy.
i'd at least put one res in there.

don't do DC headers. sell them if anything.

Get a Tsudo SP2. They sound monsterous. I have one on my civic right now. The WS2 sounds pretty good, but Vibrant exhausts sound ricey as hell for the most part.

thats because no one leaves the cat in. or use resonators.

and being straight through will do that. and unless your going universal ws2 it isn't.

if you want to run something of the world sport 2, but cheaper get the "Yonaka Exhaust", you can find it on google for around 250-350 brand new. and they have some youtube videos of it, looks almost exactly like the ws2 and sounds like it, some ht users have had experience with it as well.

i dont have a cat or a resonator. Its a straight turbo-back exhaust.

i've also never heard the tsuedo sp2 which is why i didn't say anything about it.
plus just about anything sounds fine with a turbo.

i just assume most people in the 92-00 are NA so cats/res are needed a little more.

On stock piping, by just adding the muffler, would it be too loud?

Not trying to go for anything loud of the sort. Just deep and throaty.

Sorry to hijack also btw.

Now the new hype is these overpriced WS2,spec this, twin loop that type mufflers and exhaust systems that fanboy kids fork over twice as much cash just to say "i have ___ exhaust". These exhausts dont make power, but only help savaging.

Truth is, these over priced exhausts dont do anything. Kinda like the AEM intake over an ebay tube.. a metal tube is a metal tube.

Vibrant used to be alot cheaper, but since everyone has started buying them, their priced has jumped up 40%.

I was going to get a vibrant stealth muffler again, but noticed the price went from 77bucks to 110+. I just went with a magnaflow and sounds just as good if not better for 80 bucks.

read up on exhaust theory to better familiarize yourself on how exhaust flow works.

EDIT: buying a WS2 muffler for 269.00 is crazy!

go here and get a tubing kit

http://www.vrsexhaust.com/TUBING_KIT.../honda_tk.html

then pick out whatever res/muffler u want.

Magnaflows sound like utter trash on any non-turbo car. And def on honda's. I would never own a magnaflow on any honda. They are disgustingly loud and raspy.

I have a magnaflow, it is louder than I thought it would be, not too raspy though.

I have a stock cat, dnx mid pipe with it's own resonator built in.
