upgrades for my motor....
alright guys i have a 94' civic coupe, and i just droped a B-16A2 JDM motor in it. I have 98' j spec header, Skunk 2 exhaust, and a AEM cold air intake system on it. i was just wondering what would be the best upgrades for the motor, best internals......no boost just want all motor...

No, he's not retarded...he's RIGHT.
JDM engine codes don't have the number at the end of them.
All that came out of Japan as far as B series 1.6L motors were B16a motors (also a B16B motor but that's the CTR, totally different motor). There's no such ting as a B16a2 FROM JAPAN. There's a USDM B16a2, but no JDM B16a2. If you're in the US, the opposite applies, all the blocks here have the series, displacement, and model - hense, D16Z6, or B18C1 or B16a2, we have no B16a here in the US. The only ones that are here are obviously imported.
So yes, it's impossible to have a JDM B16a2.
As for your problem.
B16 is the shittiest B series motor for starting a naturally aspired build with.
Somebody mentioned a CRVTEC or an LS/VTEC. I'd recommend either of them, do that, then start with your naturally aspired setup. The B16 sucks **** for building up NA.
Though, if you really want to build it up, higher compression (longer rods and such). May want to mill the head or block a bit, may want to also put a 2 layer headgasket on it (I'm not even sure if they make 2 layers for B16's, but whatever).
Compression would be key there. Then you'd want camshafts & adjustable cam gears. Also might want to get an aftermarket intake manifold with a larger throttle body... and that's where the buck stops basically.
After that it's get a P28 chipped so it can be dyno tuned and act as a B16 ECU, then the rest from there is pretty much engine work. Like if you want to mill down the head or block for higher compression, or port the intake manifold/TB - The B16 IM is pretty good, but I'm sure there's a wider, aftermarket IM that you could put on so it could breathe better.
Then you're gonna need to go advanced, with 3 angle valve jobs 'n ****.
Though if you do all that **** to a B16 you're better off selling your B16 and buying a GSR AT LEAST or a CRV motor.
Displacement is how you build naturally aspired. High compression small things like the CTR motor are good....but in the end you need high displacement, and higher compression if you want the kick NA.
In V8's terms - a stroker motor.
Same concept.
EDIT:
And of course boring the block to a 1.7L also comes into play there.

your first mistake was thinking that motor is jdm. your second is trying to go NA with it.

Not to be confused with "THE MAN"

I concure. I have a torque-less wonder to and with the same stuff done to it as my old LS/Vtec setup. And the old motor would rape my current set up.

I don't know, I have to yell at myself included. For all we know he could have a JDM B16a and just think it's the same thing a a B16a2.
You know? Why does he have a USDM thinking he has a JDM? How do we know he doesn't have a JDM and just FUCKED up the block code?
It can go either way, really.
Also, judging by how he puts "B-16A2" I'ma go out on a limb here and say he's never even sen the block code, so when his mech sold him the car or dropped it in, he probably said "it's a JDM B16" and he thinks he has a B16a2 because of that.
I don't know, it's all theory .
BTW, I thought about that wayyyy too much.
