umm... is this safe?? seems like it isnt....

Default umm... is this safe?? seems like it isnt....

One of my wheel studs on my 94 del sol is stripped for like the first 3 threads... dont ask me how.... so i am rolling with 3 lugnuts holding it on and it doesn't wobble or make noise or anything.... am i safe to drive like this for a few days?? thanks

Yep it's safe.. I done it for 6 months without any problems.. I'd get it fixed as soon as you can though.. Also Have you tried maybe using a tap and dye to fix the threads?

In the short term yes. Do not go nuts with your car during this time. I work out at Sears and we charge like 60 bucks to install it if your desperate. Do a search to see how to put one in.

retap it and it should be fine... main thing is to get the nut to screw onto the bolt and by tap/cleaning it, you should be able to do that..

I have put one in before b/c i snapped a different one in half, and its a bitch to do to say the least.... i won't be able to do it for a few days though and i was just checking to see if it was ok to drive it on 3 lugs for a while -- thanks
