(2nd thread and more than likely going to try to be more active this summer)

Anyway, my '94 Sol has developed a squeaking sound when shifting into 2nd either up or down it squeaks. Started doing this 4 days ago and it comes and goes. Temperature is cold in the morning and hot at night but been like all the time.

If you need codes or stuff just tell me where to look and the moment the sun(or flashlight) reaches it in the morning I will hunt it down.

Probably should note I made the bad(cheap) choice of putting reg fuel in there and it wouldn't stop shaking all week! Now that the Prem is running still as could be (still squeaks)

EDIT: Got it fixed... the bushing wasn't there and the whole thing look replaced with a short shifter but it was dry so i greased it... no problem thanks for pointing me in the correct direction though.

Where is the squeaking coming from? Give more details.

Well its a bit hard to tell because the car runs loud but when it goes it Squeaks and gets stiff and sounds like it comes under then center console

Probably your shift linkage. Check the bushings. Mine is making the same noise in 2nd and 4th on a B series EG. The linkage was off and it was squeaking like crazy. Have you replaced the linkage/ shifter at all?

hmm that's probably it because the guy who sold me said he "couldn't find the time" to replace one of the bushings... ill look into how to do that. let you know how that goes

Just found energy suspension performance polyurethane bushings in the "supply" box he gave me... one on set... uhh can someone link me to a tut on how to do this? ( i can't find one)
